Em 2009 a LEGO lançou o 10196 Grand Carousel que, sinceramente, penso que não tenha sido muito popular. Desapareceu das prateleiras sem grande alarido e só depois disso é que os preços dispararam no mercado paralelo.
Pessoalmente nunca lhe achei grande piada. Acho-o demasiado grande (para terem uma ideia, é maior que os modulares) e nunca fiquei convencido com a exposição do motor e caixa de pilhas. Além de que quando era pequeno achava os carrosséis as diversões menos interessantes das romarias :)
Mas como o interesse no set não desapareceu e continuando a temática que já resultou nos interessantes conjuntos 10244 Fairground Mixer em 2014 e o 10247 Ferris Whell de 2015, a LEGO anuncia hoje o lançamento de um novo carrossel. O 10257 Carousel. Não é "grand" mas é bem mais giro que o original.

Acho-o muito mais bonito do que o anterior e com detalhes bem interessantes. No entanto acho que está gigantesco.. e para isso basta olhar para os animais (bem giros, diga-se de passagem). O Alexis já fez um trabalho numa escala mais apropriada (ver aqui) e não deixava de ser giro.
De qualquer forma, será um ponto muito vistoso em qualquer cidade (construida com sets) LEGO.
